Hey everyone, hope you are well and if you are in the UK, I hope you are enjoying the mini heatwave we are experiencing. We are currently on a short family break in Grantown on Spey in the Scottish Highlands and the weather is incredible.

After our short trip here, we will be heading home before returning to the Highlands next Wednesday to the Refuel Festival in Fochabers, where I get the honour of closing the festival with a DJ set. This will be the 4th year I have closed the festival, and each year just gets better than the pervious. If you are in the area please come and say ‘hi’ , would be great to meet with you.

OK everyone, I’ve got a bit of an update for you… I have now moved on from my faithful Traktor Kontrol S4 decks and have now got a set Pioneer XDJ-RX2. You can see a review of these decks on this video link

I am really enjoying all the great features on these decks and especially happy that I no longer need a laptop for djing. The other benefit is that these are based on the Pioneer DJ flagship CDJ’s and also use the RekordBox software – This means all I need to take with me to a gig is a couple of USB drives.
