Time for some more exciting updates and info to share with you all..

On Friday 24th January I had a ‘Sonar Zone – MegaMix‘ aired on Beats Radio and then on Sunday my good friends at Transform DJ’s played my latest guest mix on their show on Hawaii’s number 1 dance station 95.9FM

This station only airs the best dance music shows with weekly podcasts from Hardwell, ASOT, Simon Patterson plus many many more. You can see the full show listing here

I also had another guest mix featured on DJ Karl Forde’s – Fusion 22 radio show, and Trancesound.net

My next release called Renewal has received over 145 plays on soundcloud and is causing a storm online. I am looking forward to telling you about a remix from top UK producer coming soon, but don’t want to spoil the surprise, so keep checking back here for full details.

Well, there are only a few more days left until Christmas.  I hope you have got all your presents wrapped and ready under the tree.

I am really excited to be the featured guest DJ on EuphoricNation/TranceParadise radio show on Boxing Day ( 26th December ) which will be broadcast live on Club Beats TV and ETN.FM You can follow Euphoric Nation/Trance Paradise on Facebook and Twitter

This has been an amazing year for me. Apart from having my track ( Utopia ) played by some of the top DJ’s of the world, such as Photographer, Above and Beyond, Karl Forde, having the opportunity to host my own radio show on TranceRadio.fm, and playing a set in the home of techno – Detroit, – my wife also had another beautiful baby boy.

It really has been an exciting and fun-filled year, but…next year if going to be even better,  so watch this space.

Already I have a new track ready for release called ‘Renewal’ , a few remix projects in the pipeline plus many more uplifting trance mixes.  All my mixes will all be uploaded to iTunes , Mixcloud , Youtube , and of course my Podcast page so be sure to check them out.

Remember you can get two FREE – Sonar Zone – tracks from 2011 on the Media page of my website.

Well, that’s about it for 2013….but before I go I would like to say special thanks to all the DJ’s/producers ( too many to mention in this blog ) who have supported my mixes/releases and  a massive thanks to everyone who has bought my music and downloaded the free tracks. So, I have a new baby..and you don’t hear from me for a few weeks… ‘what is going on’  I hear you ask… well where to start..

Baby James is getting bigger and settling into the household nicely, and life is going great.

In other news… I have completed a new track called ‘Renewal’  – listeners to my show on TranceRadio.fm will already have heard the exclusive preview but if you missed it, you can download it on iTunes or listen to it on Mixcloud

I also made an special guest mix for Underground Revival radio in Atlanta which you can download from Soundcloud

Don’t forget my track ‘Utopia – The Remixes’  ( as featured on Above and Beyond Global Therapy ) is available from all good download stores including iTunes – Beatport – and TrackItDown

Hi everyone,

Got some exciting personal news for you…

On 5th November at 08.53 my wife gave birth to our third child. A beautiful boy called James Ethan Thomson weighing just under 8lbs – both mother and bay are doing great – not sure about the dad though 🙂

I think he’s going to take after his dad..as he was already spotted wearing headphones.  I managed to get a quick photo as proof 🙂 These ‘headphones’ we actually used in a proper medical hearing test but it looks pretty cool anyway.

Having some time out for #familytime but will be back very soon.

The day has arrived and the very first Sonar Zone show was broadcast on TranceRadio.fm. There was a bit of confusion over timings but I can now confirm that the show will be aired on the first and third Sunday of the month at 13:00 UK time ( we are currently on BST)

To make sure you get the right time where you are please check the schedule on TranceRadio.fm

The show will also be uploaded to my Youtube channel and also will be available on iTunes podcasts by searching ‘DJ Sonar Zone‘ and also on my Mixcloud site.

Hey everyone, Hope you are all enjoying the summer ( yes it’s actually sunny in Scotland) 

The last two weeks have been really busy and I’ve got lots to tell you.. first of I entered a competition to DJ at a big event in Poland. I have uploaded my ‘entry mix’ on Mixcloud to win I need as many of you to click the ‘heart’ icon on my mix (click here to hear the mix) and please share with your friends as well. I need as many votes as possible.

Last week I had a mix featured on Matthew J Bentley radio show and then last night I was featured on Karl Forde’s – Fusion 22 show broadcast on God’s DJ Radio You can hear this mix on my Podcast Page and for those of you with iTunes, just search in the podcast page for ‘DJ Sonar Zone’
