Open the door….

There are moments in music that remind you why you started this journey in the first place, and I’m excited to share one of those moments with you.

My latest track, Open The Door, has been selected for inclusion on Sub.Mission Recordings: Landmark, a special compilation celebrating the label’s incredible 500th release.

As an independent producer, having a track featured on such a significant milestone release is a real honour. Sub.Mission Recordings has spent nearly fifteen years supporting artists from around the world, and this compilation brings together an impressive lineup of both established and emerging talent from across the trance scene.

What makes this even more special is that Open The Door will make its debut as part of this landmark release before receiving its own standalone release later this year.

The Story Behind Open The Door

The track was inspired by the words of Revelation 3:20:

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in.”

That message of invitation, hope and new beginnings became the foundation for the track. My aim was to create something uplifting and melodic while reflecting the powerful imagery behind those words.

I can’t wait for you to hear it.

Time to Recharge

The timing of this news couldn’t have been better, as I’ve recently returned from a fantastic holiday in the Scottish Highlands around Grantown-on-Spey.

It was the perfect opportunity to step away from the studio, switch off from the day-to-day routine and enjoy some of Scotland’s incredible scenery.

One of the highlights was spending time wild swimming in the River Spey and taking a dip in the beautiful Green Loch near Aviemore. There’s something incredibly refreshing about being immersed in nature, and it certainly helps clear the mind and spark creativity.

Thankfully, I managed to avoid the wildfire areas that affected parts of the Highlands during my visit, and was still able to enjoy some of the region’s most stunning locations.

I also took the opportunity to visit the spectacular Bow Fiddle Rock on the Moray coast and spent some time at the Scottish Dolphin Centre, where I was fortunate enough to enjoy the beautiful scenery and coastal wildlife.

I also went on the Strathspey Steam Railway, visited the Highland’s Tiniest Shop, and spent the day at Rose Isle.

Looking Ahead

With the holiday memories still fresh and the excitement of this release building, I’m feeling inspired and grateful for what lies ahead.

A huge thank you to Sub.Mission Recordings for including Open The Door on this landmark compilation, and thank you to everyone who continues to support my music, radio show and journey as Sonar Zone.

More details, previews and release information will be coming soon.

Until then, keep looking up, keep believing, and keep listening.
